gender & sexuality studies cluster fellows

Through SPAN’s efforts, funding from Northwestern’s Human Sexuality endowment has been used to create an expanded Gender & Sexuality Studies interdisciplinary graduate cluster.

The cluster brings together dynamic faculty and graduate students conducting research in the theory and history of gender, feminism, and sexuality studies. It draws from a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives including but not limited to anthropology, African American studies, art history, history, law, linguistics, literatures and languages, music, radio/television/film, performance studies, philosophy, political science, and sociology.

GSS trains doctoral students in core concepts of gender and sexuality studies, while also guiding students to develop strong individual programs that situate gender and sexuality at the center of their interdisciplinary scholarship.
